Meet Rep. James Beverly
Inspired by his family, Rep. James Beverly has worked tirelessly for his community in order to make the American Dream attainable for all Georgians.
Rep. James Beverly is a seasoned political leader, reformist, and business advocate with an extensive background as a member of the Georgia General Assembly, an academic educator, and a CEO. His broad experience encompasses legislative achievements, strategic policymaking, and advocacy for business and mental health reforms. With a career marked by transformative leadership and policy development, he stands out for his advanced understanding of the intersection between government, business, and technology.
Rep. Beverly believes the fundamentals of our society — healthcare, education, and a well paying job — should be equitable and accessible to everyone regardless of wealth.
He wants to reinvest time and money back into Georgia’s hardworking families and communities because a true leader brings people together.

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS
- Instrumental in the repeal of Citizen’s Arrest Legislation and abolition of Hate Crimes Legislation.
- Authored the most comprehensive mental health bill in Georgia’s history.
- Aligned the Georgia House Democratic Caucus with the Georgia Chamber’s vision, significantly increasing Democratic seats.
- Established the Macon Bibb community enhancement authority to address poverty in Bibb County.
- Developed affordable housing initiatives through the Mosaic Development Inc.
